Carlos Ghosn

Brazilian-born to Lebanese-originated parents, Ghosn is the quintessential international businessman, fluent in French, Arabic, English and Portuguese -- and quickly catching up in Japanese. Beginning in the automotive industry in 1978 when he joined Europe's largest tyremaker, Michelin, Ghosn worked his way from plant manager to chief operating officer over his eighteen-year career.

Joining Renault in 1996, Ghosn revived failing Japanese brand Nissan in record time from 1999, and has been at the helm of the Renault Nissan Alliance since 2005. His vision is to push the forward – embracing new technologies and hard decisions to ensure the future of the company.
